Mondaine

Mondaine watches seem to be going through a period of ressurgence. Their classic designs have always been popular with those with an eye for design flair (we sell a lot to architects unsurprisingly) but the minimalist, classic Swiss Railway clock face has several variations. The Sports II Chrono and Day watches are a case in point

Like all Mondaine products, they are based on the original 1940s Swiss railway clock, the work of (then) railways employee Hans Hilfiker. These watches are both available in black or white, with the Chrono offering a brushed steel case, coated bezel, illuminated display, full chronograph functionality and a leather strap.

By contrast, the Day is a more minimalist watch, but with the same steel case and contrasting bezel and leather strap. The Day retails for £210, the Chrono sells for £330.

Mondaine watches available now from the Watch And Jewellery Shop.
