I thought that only birds tweet but it would seem that is not the case. My education has now extended to an understanding that blogging is now taking on different forms and that Twitter allows us to follow the everyday whereabouts and brief thoughts of many people. So this blog is now posted to Twitter if anybody is interested. I can, therefore, follow Stephen Fry (apparently the most followed person after Barack Obama) but will he follow me? I very much doubt it. People say that all this blogging, especially Twitter, is changing and affecting the way we communicate with other for the worse, that what we have to say is too ephemeral and lacks substance and style. I don't agree. Yes, things are changing but language and communication evolve. So much more can be said these days and with easier access to different audiences and for different purposes. I think that makes communication all the richer.
Back to the clocks and watches. I have had three fine carriage clocks in for repair this week. They are always a delight unlike the dial clock with the faux American movement (actually Indian I believe) that refused to go until I improved one or two things that were actually wrong at manufacture. How I hate fakes!
That is why we only stock watches of good quality - you should get what you pay for. No imitations. No style over substance!
By the way, we now have the Obaku watches in the shop and they will soon be up on the website.
Designer watches and jewellery from the Watch and Jewellery Shop. On sale now, online..
